Text Editor

Organised and tidy notes are of crucial importance in extensive projects. To keep track of your thoughts and relevant insights UniApp offers the possibility to have separate text editor files within your tracks.


Follow the instructions below to learn how to take notes on UniApp!


1 Algorithm settings


1.1 Creating a notebook



As a first step of the analysis, a plot must be created by clicking on the create plot icon. This will lead to a window.



In order to ensure efficient organisation, a name and description of your notes must be assigned under the appropriate fields. Subsequently, press on the dropdown menu under "Choose algorithm to run your analysis" and select "Text Editor". To proceed, press on 'Select Algorithm' button.



1.2 Writing down notes

Text Editor tab appears on the left where you can write down your notes.



1.3 Saving the notebook



Once all notes have been written down, the notebook can be saved by clicking the 'Run' button at the top-right of the screen. Your notebook will be displayed as a new plot within 'Plots' menu.



2. Accessing the notebook



The user will be redirected back to the Tracks page where new placeholder with a matching name will appear. 


2.1 Editting notes


To edit your notes, first click on 'Details' within the placeholder of the chosen notebook. A new window will open.



Once the page has loaded, the notes are visible and can be editted under 'Notes'. Once the alteration is complete, click 'Save' button at the top-right corner to save the new notes.


2.2 Viewing notes


Click "Select" to view the notebook.



The selected notebook will appear at the top of the list and a new option "View Interactively" will be available. Click on "View Interactively" and wait for the notes to load. You will be redirected to the interactive plot page.



3 Interactive plot page


 The notes can be viewed inside the interactive plot page.
