Trail, demo and purchasing an UniApp subscription

Can I try the UniApp before I purchase a subscription?

Yes, we offer a demo environment for you to explore. Please reach out to our support team for more information.

How can I purchase a UniApp subscription plan?

Currently, UniApp subscriptions can be purchased through our support team or by sending an inquiry to us at info@unicle.life. We are working on an online application process to make this procedure even more convenient.

UniApp licenses explained

How does the UniApp license model looks like and which options do I have?

Please note that the UniApp is still in beta-version. This means that the license model, packages and features might evolve. Its our aim to keep our product offerings as simple as possible. In this section we explain the 2 components or a UniApp subscription:

  1. Lab workspace license. This is the base layer of your subscription and is a prerequisite to any additional UniApp functionalities. In short, the lab workspace is the overall structure of your UniApp environment and includes your data library, project library, user and access management.
  2. User licenses. This layer will define the analysis functionalities you will be able to perform on your data. More details are provided here below

What kind of UniApp user licenses are available?

Please note that the UniApp is still in beta-version. This means that the license model, packages and features might evolve. Its our aim to keep our product offerings as simple as possible. In this section we explain our user licenses in terms of:

  1. Functionalities of the user license. A full overview of the functionalities are published here
  2. Licenses types. At this moment we distinguish between two license types
    1. Single user license: includes one (1) named-user (UniApp login) per licence and is allowed to unlimited access the UniApp.
    2. Concurrent user license: To foster broader incremental implementation of the UniApp in your lab without the need to by multiple Single user licenses at once, we have created a license type called concurrent users. This means that per concurrent user, you can register up to five (5) people per licence but there can be only one active simultaneously. In this setup, everybody works in the same workspace and has equal user permissions. In case you like to create specific restrictions (e.g. to work on a specific project, dataset), please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

What are the additional options to the UniApp licenses?

Please note that the UniApp is still in beta-version. This means that the license model, packages and features might evolve. Its our aim to keep our product offerings as simple as possible. In this section we explain the options to your UniApp licenses:

  1. Analysis packs: the standard analysis packs offers already a large array of analysis capabilities, suited for most biomedical data studies. However, we have developed more advanced analysis packs which are discussed in more detail here.
  2. Additional datasets: Every license type allows for a defined number of datasets (see details here). We can process and add additional datasets to your lab workspace, which is charged per dataset. Contact our support team for more info.
  3. Additional workspaces: Every license type allows for a defined number of workspaces (see details here). Extra workspaces can be acquired to create a dedicated workspace with its own datasets, user permissions and access management (e.g. for a specific project). Contact our support team for more info.
  4. Lab storage space: Every lab workspace license allows for a defined storage space (see details here). In case this is not sufficient, additional storage is available. Contact our support team for more info.

Changes to your subscription

What happens if I change organizations during the contract period?

Typically, the subscription contract is established between your organization, research institute, company, and Unicle Biomedical Data Science BV. If you, as a user, change organizations during the contract term and wish to transfer your UniApp account (along with all associated data), this is technically possible, and we are happy to assist you. However, data transfer may be subject to certain restrictions based on the agreement between you and your organization.

Can I change the users during the subscription period?

For user licenses with a minimum remaining duration of six (6) months, you can reassign these UniApp licenses to different individuals, although we strongly recommend against reassigning the Admin user. When such situations arise, we will provide you with guidance on how to transfer data. In all cases, you, as a user, will need to initiate data access for the new user.

Can I pause my subscription?

At this moment we do not consider such option as there are a lot of scenarios possible. User licenses are quite flexible and consider a minimum period of 3 months. So as long as you have a Workspace license, you are relative flexible to manage your subscriptions.

Terminating your subscription

What happens if I cancel my UniApp subscription plan?

Our goal is to enhance your productivity with UniApp. However, you can independently download plots from UniApp. Additionally, upon request, we can provide you with the raw data matrix and metadata file from your self-owned data (excluding data files obtained from our on-platform partners) when you terminate your contract. In line with current Data privacy regulation, we will delete your data accordingly.
