Restore analysis

Modified on Wed, 13 Mar at 3:39 PM

Restore analysis enables you to import analyses to the folder you are working in for downstream analyses. This is the first step when you want to run new analyses in a folder. Usually, this means restoring the UniApp processed data file from the dataset that you want to use. Doing this will import the data into the folder in question. Further, the restore analysis feature can be used to move analyses between plots or import analyses from other projects.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Creating a Plot

As a first step, a plot must be created by clicking on the 'Create New' icon under 'Add New' placeholder in your analysis track. This will lead to a section where the analysis of interest can be selected.

In order to ensure efficient organisation, a name and description must be assigned to the analysis under the appropriate fields.

Subsequently, press on 'Choose algorithm to run your analysis' and a dropdown menu with all available analyses will appear. Choose 'Restore Analysis' and press 'Select Algorithm' button to continue. A new panel will appear on the right.

Press on 'Select Dataset From Workspace Dataset Libarary' button. A new window should open.

2 Selecting Data

The new window displays a pivot table with a sidemenu on the right that you can use to select the desired analysis to be restored.

To find the relevant analysis, press on any of the filters that you want to display in the side menu (1). These will now appear on the left (2), where you can drag them into the pivot table (3) to search for your desired analysis and select it (4).

It is advised to combine multiple filters to search through available data more efficiently.

3. Restoring the Analysis

Once enough filters are selected, all analyses satisfying the filter requirements will be displayed in the pivot table. Press on the dropdown menu under 'Select Data for Analysis' and select the relevant analysis to be restored. Press 'Submit' to continue. The user will be taken back to 'Create Plot' window. Press on 'Restore' button to restore the selected analysis. The analysis should appear in the plot overview page.
